JLSM published a mini novel on collection of short stories written by Mr Edward Lee. The aim of this publication is to cultivate reading culture among Japanese language learners as well as to promote the Japanese Choral Speaking Competition organised annually by JLSM. Members may read this book at JLSM library.

The Society for Research on Collaborative Language Learning Malaysia, in collaboration with NKS研究会 conducted Part 2 on its BENKYOUKAI 「実践振り返り」with a special talk by Dr TATEOKA Yoko from Waseda University.

JLSM, in collaboration with MAJLIS, is conducting a national survey on the current situation of the Japanese Language Education in Malaysia (2021). The research team consist of Mr Edward Lee; Dr Zoraida Mustafa (MAJLIS); Dr Ang Chooi Kean (IPG-KBA); and Ms Hasparina Abdul Ghafar (MAJLIS). Their findings is expected to be published middle of 2022.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution in promoting Japanese language education and mutual understanding between Japan and Malaysia, Mr Edward Lee was conferred the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Sliver Rays in Autumn 2021. The conferment ceremony was held on March 17, 2022 at the Ambassador’s Residence
